Steve Loughran commented on HADOOP-11582:
-----------------------------------------
tagging as a dependency of HADOOP-11890.
Options
# catch, upgrade to IOE with covering text (this JIRA?)
# ignore and wait for everyone to move to java8u65+.
Assuming what happened here was a DNS attempt over IPv6, would IPv6 hadoop
clusters work if they had an IPv4 DNS server, or is the JVM fix a pre-requisite
for IPv6 Hadoop?
> org.apache.hadoop.net.TestDNS failing with NumberFormatException -IPv6
