Hi, I am using instructions on http://www.michael-noll.com/tutorials/running-hadoop-on-ubuntu-linux-single-node-cluster/ and http://www.michael-noll.com/tutorials/running-hadoop-on-ubuntu-linux-multi-node-cluster/ to build a cluster. Currently my cluster has 4 nodes. Every time I add a node and perform the start-dfs.sh I see the following message in the logs. java.io.IOException: Incompatible namespaceIDs in /u01/app/hadoop-0.20.203.0/tmp/dfs/data: namenode namespaceID = 2069101151; datanode namespaceID = 6859422
To resolve this issue I edit the namespaceID in file named VERSION in /u01/app/hadoop/tmp/dfs/data/current and in /u01/app/hadoop/tmp/dfs/name/current. What is the correct procedure to add a node?
