Hi Markus, Moving this to scm-us...@cloudera.org as this is a Cloudera Manager user question. I've bcc'd common-user@ and cc'd you in case you aren't subscribed via https://groups.google.com/a/cloudera.org/group/scm-users/.
For adding properties that do not yet have fields in CM, you may use the safety valve feature and enter direct XML properties. For MapReduce, you can find the safety valve for JobTracker via this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/dT0N6.png. Once saved, restart just your JobTracker and you should have the new limit in effect. Note, that prop's default is 5 MB. Safety Valve is also documented at https://ccp.cloudera.com/display/express37/Changing+Service+Configurations On Tue, Jun 12, 2012 at 1:41 AM, Markus Resch <markus.re...@adtech.de> wrote: > Hey folks, > > I'm trying to increase mapred.user.jobconf.limit by let's say 2MByte. > but sadly I have no option to do this in the UI of cloudera.
