Agreed on all of that. Let's fix it after 2.1. On the 2.1 release, I've fixed the default.properties not being in the src jar. I've also removed the text package which I had included in the src build (I was doing src builds on one box and binary builds on another). Unzipping the created src.zip, and running both 'ant jar' and 'maven jar' successfully compile/jar. Anything else which should hold up a release? (other than a vote and the time it takes me to stumble my way through a release...)
