Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen commented on CONFIGURATION-3:

Ceki, thank you for telling me.
I looked at the readmes for 1.4.0 and 1.3.1 to see if I should update from
1.3.0, but didn't see any compelling reason. Therefore this was reported
against slf4j 1.3.0.
I still think that the Apache Jakarta dependencies on commons logging should be
deprecated - in my eyes the slf4j is the correct solution to what commons
logging is trying to solve.

> Currently commons-logging is reported as first class dependency in the project
> reports. This is not true. The only classes that make direct usage of JCL are
> ConfigurationDynaBean/Class and this only for tracing. It would be nice to
> eliminate this reference at all and list JCL only as transitive dependency of
> digester and beanutils.
