Hi,

To better advertise the project maybe someone could register it to
freshmeat (http://www.freshmeat.net) which is the starting point for most
open-source library/package search (that's where I go first anyway). There
are already some Jakarta projects registered here (collections, log4j,
ant... IIRC anyway) and you can register a project even if it has not yet
any "stable" release.

Personally I discovered the commons-configuration package months ago by
finding it (by accident like you) in the tree I got when I checked out the
sandbox CVS repository.
