http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21077 Allow non-static Converter collections Summary: Allow non-static Converter collections Product: Commons Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: Other Component: Bean Utilities AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The current mechanism for registering type converters with ConvertUtils is too restrictive. It only allows for one collection of converters for the entire VM, since they are statically registered. It would be an improvement if there were a "ConverterSet" class, which contained a collection of converters, which could then be passed to BeanUtils to be used instead of the statically-registered converters. This would allow different parts of an application to use different converters according to their own needs. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
