[math] anyone want to volunteer to file an entry for the newsletter?

i'm away from now until sunday at my sister's wedding. it's unlikely i'll 
be able to get up to date in time to submit something for the newsletter.

would someone like to volunteer to compose something about math for the 
news letter?
