-0, in that I'm in favour of trying to push for an entire, or large, J-C
to A-C-ish move. We're pretty soon going to have the kind of situation in
which things like Codec opt to move to A-C, and I'd like to try first to
keep the community together.

If that is untenable, then I'm +1 to Codec moving, in that I'll
definitely assist with the move and use it as a template for other moves.

I've not been able to install the server on Linux, or the client-ssl on a
Mac with ease. Partly this is my own damn stupidity I suspect, but I'm
competent on both platforms and would expect it to work pretty easily.

I've not tried the client only on Linux as when I'm prepared to move to
Subversion, I plan to vote work, my non-ASF work and any ASF project I'm
on to Subversion, so will need to have the server working too.

I do want to do this, but with the trickle of time I've thrown at it,
it's not been easy. I'm with Gary in having asked just why Subversion
can't work with a CVS client, are there CVS features that it is unable to
support, or that it supports in some non compatible way?

The only platform it's worked for for me is Windows, as that has the nice
world of binary deploys and no messing around deploying source and
hoping the user can get it compiling right, and I've no great desire to
switch my development environment to Windows.

+1. Jira rocks, and unless the company goes under I think Apache's usage
of Jira will improve Jira. Partly due to the community here, I'm not a
believer in open-source but in open-community, and the Jira guys grokk
open-community.

Cool.
