it's not entirely satisfactory - it's hard to make the unit tests run properly (so most of them have been left out) and the user guide probably needs some more work on the formatting.
please take a look and either comment or patch before it comes the official site. (i'll start work on changing the commons site to make the maven version the official one sometime after wednesday.)
