The refactoring branch has now been merged into CVS HEAD and this codebase will form the basis of the upcoming 0.6 betwixt release. Given the limited developer resources available for betwixt and the known limitations of the 0.5 design, there are no plans to continue development of the alpha-1.0 -> 0.5 codebase. So, I'd suggest upgrading to CVS HEAD or waiting till the 0.6 release containing the code in the refactoring branch.
