http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29912 [pool] Compilation under 1.5: enum keyword Summary: [pool] Compilation under 1.5: enum keyword Product: Commons Version: 1.2 Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Pool AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail from Greg Billock on commons-dev -------------------------------------- I recently compiled commons-pool under JDK1.5 without a problem except for two files: /src/java/org/apache/commons/pool/impl/StackKeyedObjectPool.java /src/java/org/apache/commons/pool/impl/StackObjectPool.java These two files use the new 1.5 keyword 'enum' in an enumeration. A shallow fix is to simply rename the variable to 'enm' or something. A deeper fix might be to use iterator() method. I'm happy to contribute a patch which enables clean 1.5 compilation, but assuming the shallow fix is desired, it is pretty straightforward. Please email me directly if you (Dirk?) would like the diffs. Thanks for the pooling classes! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
