I'm not sure this is possible unfortunately, we can't always ensure that the
configuration contains only lists and not arrays because we didn't add the
properties ourself. JNDIConfiguration comes to mind, but also a configuration
based on the Windows registry, I tried once to implement one and sometimes the
registry returns an array.
