Support for SetNestedPropertiesRule was added to the xmlrules module on Fri Jan 14 2005 (subversion revision 132741). The "addressbook" xmlrules example was updated on Mon Jan 17 2005 to use SetNestedPropertiesRule. I suspect you're running the latest SVN version of the examples, but using version 1.6 of digester.jar. The latest example code works fine when using a digester.jar build from the latest source code. Downloading the 1.6 source release will provide examples that work with the 1.6 jar file - though of course that version has no xmlrules support for set-nested-properties-rule. Note: jakarta-commons uses Subversion as its version control system. Any code extracted from the CVS repositories will be out of date.
