Ok, there was no formal [VOTE] thread. Apologies.

But There was four +1's about it (Dion, Hans, Brett, and I).
Actually the commit that Brett just did are for RC2 for Jelly-core and 1.1 for xml and ant tag-libs.

Should we then make a vote again ?
I'd rather accept this for this one (as it's not 1.0 for Jelly yet...) and pay attention for Jelly 1.0.

Umm.. Brent, did you follow the official procedure for creating this
release?

I don't remember seeing any VOTE thread on this, and it is definitely
*not* permitted to perform a release without an official VOTE thread
having been passed. There's a whole lot of other stuff that is certainly
*traditional* to do before a release if not absolutely required by the
Jakarta charter.

the usual process is a proposal followed (once the release preparations
have been completed) by a formal VOTE thread. it's particularly
important here in the commons to have a VOTE thread since most
committers use filtering on the subject and may not pick the vote up
promptly otherwise.

of course, if you were planning to cut some release candidates which
people can vote upon (and it's all been a misunderstanding) then
everything's cool :)
