http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35260 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-06-09 13:24 ------- Yes, there's something going on on the server, and your code, with the exception of the unneeded completePendingCommand() call looks okay. By the way, did getting rid of that remove the hang problem? Now we're talking about ftp server setup, which is outside my area of expertise, and not something one can easily change on the client side, where commons-net lives. Nor does it account for why you're able to retrieve via an ftp program, still a mystery to me. As for "reading from terminal input as a security measure" feel free to have a look at the source for the "guts" of commons-net ftp (the classes FTP and TelnetClient, on which FTPClient is based) and you will see that it is in fact programmed to look to the server as a terminal looks. Commons-net ftp is widely used, for example in the <ftp> task of Ant and should be able to handle what you've got here. I would still like you to try my previous suggestion about logging the raw listing so we can see what's really going on here. I still believe it may be a permissions problem. And to be absolutely sure, you haven't answered this yet, are you using the same login parameters in the manual system as with commons-net? -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
