Usually the best way to obtain the newest sources is to make a checkout from SVN and build the jar yourself (using ant or maven). Instructions can be found here: http://jakarta.apache.org/site/cvsindex.html We have also nightly builds, but for some reason the binary builds for configuration are broken ATM. I am closing this ticket now.
