I more or less agree with things Tim says here [1].

On related notes:
* Whether some of us may have the liberty to put these bits in
production is probably a red herring
* I think the level of current participation is a better metric than
the level of anticipated participation
* I'll probably support the revival of any of these components if
there is renewed interest/participation at some point

------

compress - Despite our attempt to get this released, nothing seems to
have happened here. Anyone?

csv - Yonik's been active here while I've not been at all. This
component is still bumbling along looking for critical mass.

exec - Niklas did some work last July, but nothing's happened since.
Anyone know if the future holds anything for exec?

finder - Should goto dormant. I don't think anyone is going to work on
it and most of it is in IO now.

i18n - Should goto dormant. No notable activity in the last year.

id - Jörg seems to be working on this. Any plans Jörg?

javaflow - Torsten was working on this last June. Any plans Torsten,
or shall we move it to dormant?

jci - Torsten's active here. How's it looking Torsten?

js2j - No activity since last Sept - Don?

openpgp - Antoine committed a couple of fixes last October, but
otherwise nothing. If this component is not released, I presume Maven
is not using it. If Maven is not using it, I suspect no one is. Is it
dormant?

pipeline - Kris has been working on this, though nothing much for the
last couple of months. Any update Kris?

proxy - James has said that he wants to find time to work on this, but
nothing since last April. I'm thinking it's ready to goto dormant.
