As for Apache Jakarta dependencies on commons logging deprecated in favour of
SLF4J, as you are probably aware, the matter is highly sensitive. One cannot
expect the Jakarta Commons community to migrate to a new API overnight, if at
all. Convincing developers to migrate to SLF4J requires time and patience.
