Following subsequent discussions on other threads (and the new versioning 
thread) I feel I must take a tougher line on this.

My vote for the release of 1.3.2 changes to -1.

Deprecating a class and adding a new one is inappropriate for a x.x.x release. 
This should either be 1.4, or the deprecated markers removed from the static 
class in 1.3.2 (adding comments instead).
