You make a good point in regards to the field's ability to be scriptable 
regardless of the Validator. However, since it is obvious that the Validator 
does not control the browser's scripting capabilities, there is nothing wrong 
with using the word's plain meaning: is this field, as defined by the 
validator, configured to allow scripting? But granted, how long can such a 
debate go on? It's a matter of perspective, I suppose. In any event, I suppose 
we'll stick with our opinions until a better word comes along.
