For those who are interested, I uploaded an XmlSchema snapshot here:

Notice that I changed our groupId to org.apache.ws.commons to be more in line with the Maven Way (which hopefully will stabalize now...).

That's not the group Id we've been using all this time ... can we please
keep to the current one until we publish?
So is this like a standard group ID now?

Sanjiva.

I was kind of viewing this as a phase were the release kinks were worked out, like publishing to the right dirs, getting the permissions correct, and testing the snapshots with other projects. Then once we decide to go for a release we just switch the version #.

I don't really care which way we go, but this is the way the maven people recommend (and the ws commons-util project is doing it, and a lot of other Apache projects). Sorry if I caused trouble.

Is it going to be alright if we release with this groupId, or do we need to change it?
