Ben,
There have been too many changes between 1.2.7 and HEAD in the part of the code
affected by this fix (for example, the entire StAX dialect mechanism is new in
1.2.9), so that backporting the change using individual patches is not
feasible. What is actually preventing you from using 1.2.9-SNAPSHOT?
