Yes, it will generate log files without log4j, but commons-logging is requred. Logs files will be generated based on your configuration of the logging subsystem. There is a webpage that describes it. Yes, it is doable.
So, I guess now, my question should be, will HttpClient generate log files? And when? And how do I configure the logging, maybe to prevent it completely? Is that doable?
