I guess so. I believe the main objection of Eric was about release 3.0 plans not 
having been clearly articulated. That concern can (and should be addressed) with a 
separate document.

I am +1 for 2.0 branch. May the hacking toward 2.1 finally begin.

I think this is a good list for 2.1.  As always I am sure more will  
come up, but I these are good goals.  So, do we want to make this  
official and branch out 2.0?
