OK. That clears things up quite a bit. What proxy are you using? Is it HTTP/1.1 or 
HTTP/1.0 compliant proxy? If it doubt use HTTP/1.0

It is a timeout, yes.
But if I don't use the proxy, I don't get the timeout.
