Folks, I feel it is time we cut the final release. I am convinced we should get the long overdue HttpClient 2.0 release out and fully concentrate on getting HttpClient 3.0 ready for the first alpha release. Simultaneously we should pursue the promotion to the Jakarta level, which will require quite a bit of efforts. The time is right IMO.
