Not exactly a recommendation but a suggestion of something to avoid: There
are a number of flatbed scanners that have "film scanner" attachments.  If
you plan on scanning a lot of negatives I'd suggest not buying something
like this because they are typically very slow.

Then again you might not be able to find something in your price range that
is in any way automated.
