Yes, this whole episode has been a failure for all involved - there is no shortage of blame to spread around. However pointing fingers at this point is unlikely to be particularly helpful. Instead, we shoul focus on fixing the problems which were raised (which are real), and reigning in some of the more block-happy admins. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that this couldn't have been resolve amicably and without blocking anyone or anything. -Mike
