With the deployment of timed media handler, we can now import cc
licensed material from youtube directly from their webm
derivatives. Jan has put together this nice python script https://github.com/bit/youtube2mediawiki I also see the import from url talk is active on the village pump: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Village_pump/Proposals#Upload_by_URL What pages are tools server pages are currently used to import from sites like flickr? Should we add youtube import as well? You can search youtube creative commons from cc site http://search.creativecommons.org/ Or from the editor "cc" tab: http://www.youtube.com/editor --michael |
