Hello Fabrice and others!
I'd like to hijack this posting to make a little request about the media viewer.
Would it be possible to add the possibility of hooking in user scripts
into the media viewer?

Ideally I'd like to have a
* pre- and post- opening of the viewer hook
* a hook that is called when the displayed image in the viewer changes,
* and a hook tho feed a list of 'next' and 'prev' images to the viewer.

For example if the pre hook returns false the viewer would stay closed
(this could be useful on project space pages, where we want to attach
custom functions to thumbnail clicks in galleries. Or for hiding NSFW
images for which thumbnails are only revealed after a click).
Thanks for considering this.
Keep in mind that on some projects (especially commons) there is a
huge ecosystem of user contributed JavaScript scripts and gadgets to
enhance the functionality of the site and it would be nice if that
work could be made easier.
Best,
Daniel
