We should probably suggest them to upload the individual frames anyways. It'd be rather trivial to run a bot to either generate animated GIFs (yuck!) or WebM (TimedMediaHandler should, but doesn't, support looping). A javascript gadget that assembles multiple frames into a draggable rotate animation shouldn't be too hard to build either.
In any case, having the content first would certainly be a great motivator to come up with a solution to display it. Cheers, Daniel >> 1.
