Greetings, After a year of design and development, Special:MediaSearch [1] will be released to logged-in users on Wednesday, 12 May 2021. Media Search [2] is a new content-focused way to search Commons and find freely-licensed media for use and re-use. Special:MediaSearch has been default for all anonymous/logged-out users since 1 April 2021, and once it is default for everyone logged-in users will have the option to restore Special:Search as their default experience with a change to a preference.
