I'm installing httpclient, and I read on the commons-dev list things that make me think log4j isn't really optional. (The web page says the dependencies are optional.)
I'm not anxious to set log4j up today. It looks like I can escape with a batch file instead of ANT for a few days of testing until I can remember how to set ANT up. Tried to download JUnit, but sourceforge seemed to be DOSsed or something. I'm hoping I don't really need to run the tests just to make sure the install went well.
