HTTP Client Release 2.0 Alpha 1 Vs Nightly build

Hi
 I'm planning to use HTTPClient for an application that goes in production
at the end of January. Am I better of using the 2.0 Alpha 1 release or the
nightly builds? What are the new features in the next release? Any help is
greatly appreciated.
