Hi,

You should look at a Commons Sandbox component called JRCS. I believe
the only way to access it right now is via the CVS repository.

It is basically a pluggable framework for doing diffs. I believe it is
tailored to working with sequences of Objects, but it may encompass what
you need (I'm not an expert on it, I just happen to know of its
existence...)

Is there a utility in commons that creates Diff between two different streams (I want it to be implementation agnostic so that I can compare file streams or objects rendered in streams or whatever) Ideally the class would take two readers and compute the diff.

I had toyed with writing this sucker but If I can find it then I wont. If commons doenst have it, would they be interested if I wrote it?
