Hi Joo,
It sounds like the squid proxy isn't set up to tunnel SSL connections, hence
the Method Not Supported message. The only way to fix this is to change the
config of squid to allow SSL tunnelling or to stop using the proxy (often
HTTPS is allowed straight through even if HTTP isn't).

Subject: [HTTPClient] Erros using HTTPS and Proxy

Hi all,

i'm using httpclient with a SSL connection in my internal network and works fine.

But, i'm now to do access outside my network through a proxy, and the proxy give me an error

something like "Method Not Suported".

After this i try to use de HttpConnection.tunneledconnection(), but it crashed the code, give me a NULLPointer.

I try with a version RC3 and the last CVS version date 01/30/04.
The proxy is Squid.

Can anyone help me ??!! please

thanks,
   Joo Cerdeira
