Andre, where did you send the emails? I haven't seen them.
The answer is that JellySwt and the swt jars need the swt binaries in the path (LD_LIBRARY_PATH?). I believe the swt jars that are provided are using the windows native code. Replace the swt jars with the appropriate ones for eclipse 2.1 on linux and make sure the swt binaries are in the path.
