There is no VFS option to handle this as this depends on the library used.
But you can configure the dataTimeout for ftp using the
FtpFilesSystemConfigBuilder
The next VFS nightly will also allow you to set the timeout for sftp
using the SftpFilesSystemConfigBuilder
