Shouldn't there exist a binary download of Commons VFS (along with
URL's for dependent libraries) - as it has come out of the sandbox?
There is (and always was, even during the sandbox times):

Its reachable through the VFS site:
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/vfs/download.html
