How to set base64 header for EmailAttachment ?

Hi,
   
  I am using commons email package for sending emails with attachment. I am 
attaching a file to HtmlEmail using EmailAttachment class. I want to encode the 
attachment using base64. How i can do this using commons package ?
  How i can set the header of the attachment as base64 ?
   
  Can anybody please help....
