HttpClient only support the HTTP protocol, that is a communication protocol. HTML and Javascript are application-level languages. What you want is a java-based HTML/Javascript browser, that is out of scope of commons-httpclient. You may look a HtmlUnit / jWebUnit to see what tools they use to parse HTML and Javascript code.
