[DBCP] deprecated removeAbandoned flag

Hello

I know that removeAbandoned, removeAbandonedTimeout and logAbandoned 
parameters have been deprecated.
Is there a way to "simulate" this useful behavior of DBCP by using a 
combination of validation query and the eviction parameters?
