Dear AFRINIC members and community,
The AFRINIC Board is required to make appointments to various bodies from time
to time. On 24 October 2018, the Board called for volunteers who wish to be
considered for appointment by the Board. The Board is now extending the
deadline for volunteers.
The AFRINIC Board calls for volunteers who wish to be considered for
appointment to the following bodies:
• NRO NC/ASO AC. The purpose of the NRO NC / ASO AC is to review and
develop recommendations on Internet Protocol (IP) address policy and to advise
the ICANN Board. For more information, see

three AFRINIC representatives in the NRO NC is appointed by the AFRINIC Board,
and the Board intends to appoint one community volunteer for a one-year term,
from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019.
• Governance Committee. The AFRINIC Governance Committee advises the
AFRINIC Board, AFRINIC Membership and the community on matters of corporate
governance. For more information, see

of the five voting members of the Governance Committee are appointed by the
Board, and one of those seats has a term that expires on 31 December 2018. The
Board intends to fill the seat by appointing a community volunteer for a
two-year term from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2020.
Volunteers are invited to send a brief biography, and their reasons for seeking
appointment, to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>, no later than
23:59 UTC on 14 December 2018. Existing appointees are eligible to volunteer
for re-appointment.

Prolongement: Appel à volontaires par le conseil d'administration à l'ASO AC et
au comité de gouvernance.
Chers membres d’AFRINIC et de la communauté,
Le conseil d'administration d’AFRINIC est tenu de procéder de temps à autre à
des nominations dans divers organes. Le 24 octobre 2018, le conseil a lancé un
appel à des volontaires qui souhaitent être considérés pour une nomination par
le conseil. Le conseil prolonge maintenant la date limite pour cet appel à
volontaires.
Le conseil d’administration d’AFRINIC lance un appel aux volontaires souhaitant
être nommés aux organes suivants:
• NRO NC / ASO AC. L’objectif du NRO NC / ASO AC est d’examiner et de
formuler des recommandations sur les politiques relatives à l’allocation et la
gestion des adresses IP (Internet Protocol) et de conseiller le conseil

• Comité de Gouvernance. Le Comité de Gouvernance d'AFRINIC conseille
le conseil d'administration d'AFRINIC, les membres d'AFRINIC et la communauté

des cinq membres votants du comité de gouvernance sont nommés par le conseil
d’administration et l’un de ces sièges a un mandat expirant le 31 décembre
2018. Le conseil d’administration entend pourvoir ce siège en nommant un
bénévole de la communauté pour un mandat de deux ans du 1er janvier 2019 au 31
décembre 2020.
Les volontaires sont invités à envoyer une brève biographie et leurs
motivations pour ces postes à [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>, au
plus tard à 23h59 UTC le 14 décembre 2018. Les personnes qui occupent ces
postes sont éligibles pour un renouvellement de mandat.
