My point here is that the campaigns need to be done *only* in a neutral way, not by board or committee members, not by staff, and only to people that you *already* know. So, they should be done only in the official ways determined in the elections process. I’m not, *at all*, discussion about if the candidates are good, bad, or if I support them or not, just the way it has been done and I urge the board to take measures. If you collect my email from any kind of database, without my previous and explicit consent, this is against law (and even immoral and unethical, in my personal opinion). Moreover, if you do that with an EU citizen or resident, it is against GDPR, which means that you can get fines up to 20 million euros. And in case you don’t know, Mauritius is one of the countries that signed agreements with the EU about GDPR, so the legislation is applicable with the Afrinic databases as well.
