Legal battles and police investigations take time. You need to be patient. I've battled several times against different parties, including Spanish Government, Spanish DPA, etc., and even lost some of the cases in the 1st level courts, but having appealed up to the Constitutional Court, even if taking up to 5-6 years, it has been resolved (in my favor).
In life, there are no unimportant things, it all depends on the perspective, the environment, and what relation "those less important things" have with more important ones.
