Is it technically possible to add *headers* instead of increasing footers? Even one liner such as "You are reading general-jakarta mailing list (rules are _here_)" will help (imho).

so that it'd be more obvious that you're reading a post to an apache list and that the list has certain rules which are supposed to be obeyed.
