there have been several mentions over the last three weeks concerning the need for an apache glossary. i've started roughing this out; if you're interested, please take a look at

and let us know what terms/definitions should be added/changed..
Probably the most important items I see as missing are ones related to voting: in particular the concept of binding votes, and lazy consensus. In Jakarta, these can be inferred from http://jakarta.apache.org/site/decisions.html, but a more direct definition would probably be better. I actually would recommend that this glossary goes a bit further and defines vote and veto as both imply specific obligations that may not be obvious to someone not familiar with the ASF.
