Please do continue the quest to have a free dumbphone. Smartphones are expensive, and low volume smartphones like Openmoko are prohibitively expensive. The world has been missing an affordable communication device with free software. I guess that $1000 counts as affordable in some countries, but in many others it's a lot to pay for a device which doesn't work well and is essentially a toy (Openmoko). Your effort is the first one which runs on a phone which costs the equivalent of a few beers - I just got mine. Smartphone would be a nice addition, but I probably wouldn't use it. And it's not an one-person project too. Just my voice saying that your efforts to make a dumphone are very welcome. _______________________________________________ Community mailing list [email protected] https://www.freecalypso.org/mailman/listinfo/community
