Hi Mychaela, Congratulations on your breakthrough re/ the DSP corruption bug! I will try your suggestion of testing with only FR speech codec, it will be a quick test. By the way, how do you load this ALSA scenario on the AP?
I think you are right regarding the LoCosto L1 code: it is quite possible the source of our other issues, and I concur a careful disassembly of the GTA02 firmware blobs might be necessary. Although reading ARM code is not trivial for me, I can try and give it a shot! And since we have the whole proprietary toolchain in place, I could verify that the reconstructed C code compiled to the same assembly code as the pre-compiled blob. Now regarding on the direction you are considering to take for the next weeks/months, it's difficult for me to say; what is true is that your time is quite precious considering the expertise you have in the matter at hand, so it's probably best to concentrate on tasks that may require the broad knowledge of Calypso you have, indeed the hardware side of things is evidently of interest. Now regarding the PCB design, since I don't really know the subject I can't really recommend anything -- but on an ethical POV it feels better to help existing FOSS projects (such as gEDA or Kicad) than being forced to use proprietary tools because the original Openmoko creators used them years ago. --DS _______________________________________________ Community mailing list [email protected] https://www.freecalypso.org/mailman/listinfo/community
